Chantal McCollum
Niagara South
Chantal McCollum
Chantal McCollum grew up in a union family and is a passionate advocate for a more equitable Canada. She is from the communities of Merritton and Thorold, and is now a resident of Welland, Ontario.
Chantal was an environmental consultant for approximately five years before becoming a lawyer. Since 2019, she has owned and operated a law practice based in Thorold, Ontario and currently sits on the board of the Lincoln County Law Association as Treasurer.
Chantal is seeking to represent the people of Niagara South because, like many, she is concerned that income inequality is worsening, access to public health care is declining, and basic needs have become unaffordable, leaving too many behind. Chantal wants to reverse these trends by pushing to implement federal policies which will provide good healthcare and affordable housing to residents of Niagara South.
Chantal believes that everyone should have quality public health care, affordable housing, decent work, and nutritious food. After years of cuts and privatization, the federal government must ensure it is working with provinces and municipalities to prioritize the needs of people, not wealthy corporations.
